Core Subjects and Objectives 1. Hindi (Sarangi - Part 2) – Expressive Language Skills In Class 2, the focus shifts toward building confidence in reading and writing standard sentences independently. What they learn: Advanced mastery of complex vowel signs (मात्राएँ), blended words (संयुक्त अक्षर), vocabulary enhancement, and basic sentence construction. Methodology: Children read longer, engaging folk tales and rhythmic poems. The lessons prompt them to express their thoughts, rewrite stories in their own words, and engage in creative speaking activities. 2. English (Mridang - Part 2) – Confident Communication The English curriculum aims to move children from recognizing words to constructing meaningful sentences and developing a love for reading. What they learn: Structured grammar (nouns, pronouns, verbs, describing words), reading comprehension, short paragraph writing, and expanded vocabulary. Methodology: Through role-plays, conversational dialogues, and interactive reading exercises, children learn to listen actively, ask questions, and narrate simple personal experiences clearly. 3. Mathematics (Joyful Mathematics - Part 2) – Mathematical Thinking Mathematics in Class 2 moves past basic counting into structural concepts, preparing children for daily calculations. What they learn: 2-digit and 3-digit numbers (up to 999), place value, addition and subtraction with regrouping (carrying/borrowing), the concept of repeated addition (early multiplication), reading clocks (time), identifying currency (money), and measuring lengths and weights. What they learn: Types of houses, healthy food groups, water conservation, community helpers (doctors, police, firefighters), transport and communication, and safety habits on the road. Methodology: Project-based tasks, observation worksheets, and drawing activities encourage children to notice patterns in nature and understand their responsibilities as young members of society.
